SCDOT Project Requires Waterline Maintenance and Water Service Interruption in the Country Club Rd.

August 31st 2026

Spartanburg – Spartanburg Water is performing planned maintenance of a water main on Country Club Road near Boyd Road in order to provide clearance for a large SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) stormwater project. The Spartanburg Water project will mean minimal traffic control on Country Club Road at Boyd Road. Residents living in the Boyd Road, Middle Drive and Hidden Springs Road area will be affected by a temporary water outage on Tuesday, September 1, from approximately 8 a.m.-5 p.m.  Customers affected were notified in advance of the temporary water outage.  There will be a Boil Water Advisory issued for those affected customers.

Our crews have been briefed on attention to detail for the area and there will be checks throughout the process. Spartanburg Water personnel safety and public safety in the area of work are our main priorities. Once Spartanburg Water has completed the work at the Boyd Road intersection, work will continue to Wallace Street/ Country Club intersection.
