Our hydrant flushing has helped clear waterlines of sediment, following the waterline break that occurred on Friday, December 5. The break was immediately isolated, but the re-direction of water service caused some customers to experience brown or cloudy water.
We are still hearing of isolated locations experiencing water discoloration and are addressing these individually. If you are still experiencing discolored water, please contact our Customer Experience team at (864) 582-6375.
Please remember that while water may appear discolored, there are no concerns with the water’s quality or safety.
Hwy. 221 remains open to traffic, though drivers should remain cautious while driving through that area.
Thank you for your continued patience and support.
Each year, unused and expired medications are tossed in the trash or flushed down the toilet. Both of these options can negatively impact our environment and cause concerns for wastewater treatment.
This is why Spartanburg Water supports the Deterra drug disposal system to help our community properly dispose of their unused and expired medications.
Using the Deterra © Pouch, medications can be permanently deactivated and safely disposed of in the trash.
