Earlier today, Spartanburg Water had a waterline break on Hwy. 221 that caused customers to experience a drop in water pressure, with a few customers experiencing service loss.
Repairs are currently under way. Some customers may see brown or cloudy water, due to the re-direction of water service through waterlines. While the water may appear discolored, there are no concerns with the water’s quality or safety.
Crews are currently working to return Hwy. 221 traffic to normal flow, and also working on flushing fire hydrants to assist with removing sedimentation concerns.
Our mission is simple: we pursue excellence in services and products through teamwork and collaborative problem solving both within the organization and with external stakeholders. True to our mission, Spartanburg Water contracts for a wide variety of goods and services. The main goal of our purchasing system is to procure goods and services in the most efficient manner while attaining the best value that is available in the market.
