Yesterday, a waterline break occurred on Hwy. 221, and repairs are still currently underway. Traffic flow on Hwy. 221 has returned to normal, but drivers are asked to be cautious.
Some customers experienced brown or cloudy water, due to the re-direction of water service through waterlines. Hydrant flushing throughout the night has helped clear up much of the issue for our customers in the Converse Heights and E. Main St. areas. Crews are beginning to flush hydrants in the Fernwood Glendale area through Zion Hill Rd. to address additional concerns in that area, so residents may see water on the roadway due to the flushing.
Please note, while water may appear discolored, there are no concerns with the water’s quality or safety.
