The Commissioners of Public Works, Spartanburg Water System, furnishes recreational facilities to the public for their use. Visitors can enjoy Anchor Park, a recreational park provided by Spartanburg Water that offers picnic pavilions, waterfront access for fishing, a newly-replaced, ADA-accessible playground, two boat ramps, and the Lake Bowen Wardens' Office. Picnic tables located throughout the park, and a large pavilion, are available on a first come, first served basis (at no cost).

Lake Bowen Park hours are 6 a.m. - midnight.
