On Thursday, July 24, Spartanburg Water System (SWS) experienced a water main break in the Union St. area of Spartanburg, near the entrance to Duncan Park. A contractor has been working in the area to replace the aged water line. The break caused some customers to experience an interruption of service or low water pressure. A Boil Water Advisory is currently in effect for the following addresses impacted:

The Good Neighbor Program is a charitable contribution program designed to assist needy individuals in paying their water and sewer bills. The program was implemented by Spartanburg Water in 1992 and the Salvation Army screens applicants and administers the distribution of funds. Customers can choose to make a one-time donation, a set amount each month or to round up their bill each month in our Operation Round Up program.
