MAINTENANCE TECH I-II

Under general supervision, assists Senior Maintenance Technicians in maintaining buildings, grounds and equipment for company facilities. Operates various heavy maintenance equipment. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and related codes, laws, and standards. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. Reports to the Drinking Water Maintenance Coordinator.

MAINTENANCE TECH II-III

Under limited supervision, performs skilled maintenance, repair, rebuilding and installation work involving electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and related structures at all facilities in the organization. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and related codes, laws, and standards. Reports to the Maintenance Coordinator Drinking Water Treatment.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

MAINTENANCE TECH I

• High school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain First Aid/CPR certification.

MAINTENANCE TECH II

• High school diploma or equivalent and two to three years of experience in plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Must be able to perform all job duties at the Technician I level.

MAINTENANCE TECH III

• High school diploma or and a minimum of five years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must possess and maintain South Carolina Backflow certification
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Must be able to perform all job duties at the Technician I-II levels.
