Each year, Spartanburg Water invites the community to take an in-depth look at their local drinking water and wastewater services by participating in the Water Matters Citizens' Academy. Topics range from the drinking water treatment process, to how sewer plays a part in economic development, to how water reaches your home - and are led by our team of drinking water and wastewater experts. Attendees are also given hands-on opportunities in our lab, as well as tours of our drinking water and wastewater treatment plants.
In 2020 our Water Matters Citizens' Academy changed a bit and all classes were taught virtually. In 2021 we look forward to again sharing this wonderful opportunity with more of our community members - so be sure to check our website for updates.
The Spartanburg Water Choose Tap Program helps our community live healthy and sustainably. Learn more about why you should ditch those bottled waters and instead "choose tap."
Unused and expired medications are often tossed in the trash or flushed down the toilet - negatively impacting our environment and causing concerns for wastewater treatment.
