Spartanburg Water is proud to share that customers will once again not see a rate increase for water or sewer services, following the passing of the recent 2021-2022 Fiscal Year Budget by the Commission of Public Works of the City of Spartanburg and Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District on May 25, 2021.
Spartanburg Water’s continued sound financial decisions and planning provide for a budget that supports the community’s growing drinking water and wastewater needs without increasing customer rates.
“We are proud to serve such an important and essential role in providing for the public health of our community,” said Sue Schneider, Chief Executive Officer. “We strive to provide quality services, pave the way for new business in the area and maintain our community’s valuable resources – all while providing affordable rates for our customers.”
The Fiscal Year 2021-2022 approved budget reflects this strategic focus on planning for future growth, addressing aging infrastructure and maintaining industry leading drinking water and sewer services.
