Service disconnections resume July 14

Beginning July 14, Spartanburg Water will resume service disconnections for past due balances. This follows an extended period of suspension for all disconnections that was put into place in an effort to support customers during unprecedented times.
While disconnections will begin again at this time, customers are encouraged to reach out to learn more about the Customer Assistance Program available to help those who need help with their outstanding balances – including payment arrangements and referrals to local charitable organizations.
“We realize that our customers and community may still be dealing with financial hardships related to COVID-19 and related economic impacts. However, we have worked diligently to ensure that we will be able to provide the support and options needed for all of our customers,” said Newt Pressley, Chief Financial Officer.
For customers interested in learning more about the Customer Assistance Program, the Spartanburg Water Customer Service team is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. to provide support by phone – (864) 582-6375.
Additionally, while the Spartanburg Water Administration Office will remain closed to walk-in traffic, those individuals with needs that cannot be handled by phone will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment to meet with a Customer Service Representative in person.
