May 7 Traffic Advisory: Work continues on Glendalyn Avenue

Spartanburg Water crews are continuing the water line replacement project on Glendalyn Avenue in the Converse Heights community between Connecticut Avenue and Pine Street. Daytime work hours will be approximately 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day this week, May 7-11.
Occasional traffic delays due to lane closures and lane shifts may occur at the intersection of Glendalyn Avenue and South Fairview Avenue as crews as crews flush and test water mains. Crew members will be in place to direct traffic when necessary.
The southeast portion of Glendalyn Avenue from Connecticut Avenue to South Fairview Avenue is closed to through traffic for an extended period while construction activities are underway. Traffic control and detour routes are in effect until work is completed.
