Our Saturday, October 28, RXcycle Spartanburg event will be at the followinglocations from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in conjunction with the Spartanburg Police Department:
- The Reverend James D. Thornton Activity Center at Stewart Park, 500 Norris Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306
- CVS, 87 Garner Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303
- Bi-Lo, 2199 Southport Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306
Important: Only pills and capsules will be accepted at this event.
Spearheaded by Spartanburg Water, RXcycle Spartanburg offers safe disposal of unused and expired prescription and over the county medication. Through this program the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Department offers a kiosk for safe disposal of pills 24/7 at its 8045 Howard Street office.
Spartanburg County area residents have contributed more than 900 pounds of unused and expired pills, patches, liquids, creams, inhalers, sharps and other medical supplies by partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency in community-wide events since 2012.
