Spartanburg Water announces promotion in Engineering

Spartanburg Water is pleased to announce the promotion of Travis Gore to the position of GIS Content Manager in the engineering department. In his new role, Gore will perform a variety of data management services such as designing, administering and maintaining technical databases, and implementing data management protocols for a wide variety of data processing needs throughout the water and sewer utility. Gore will also be responsible for coordinating special programming for computer and computer software interfaces.
Gore has been employed at Spartanburg Water since 2014 when he was hired as a GIS/Drafter Technician II. Gore came to Spartanburg Water with sixteen years of GIS experience, and was promoted to GIS/Drafter Technician III in 2016.
Gore is a South Carolina Licensed GIS Surveyor, and a South Carolina Licensed Water Distribution Operator. He holds an Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, an Associate degree in Geomatics Technology, a Certificate in Engineering Technology with a major in Architectural Drafting, a Certificate in Engineering Technology with a major in Surveying, and a Certificate in Engineering Technology with a major in Advanced GIS.
