Spartanburg Water Lab Services Section Manager honored with industry award

SPARTANBURG - Spartanburg Water Lab Services Section Manager Syndee Poteat was honored this week at the 2017 South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC) with its Crystal Crucible Award “for significant contributions that promote professionalism, pride and high ideals among those working in water and wastewater analysis.” The award also recognizes individuals for significant contributions that promote education, training, certification, management, and promoting innovative laboratory operations.

“This award recognizes the professionalism and dedication Syndee Poteat has shown in her long career at Spartanburg Water,” said Angie Price, P.E., Utility Asset Engineering and Laboratory Manager.

Poteat is active in promoting the professional recognition of the water/wastewater laboratory field and participation in the Water Environment Association of South Carolina. This includes writing papers and articles accepted by state, regional and national publications, and technical presentations at professional conferences.
