Watershed Stewardship
Whether you live in a big city or a small town, whether you live in the mountains or by the beach, every drop of water that you use drains either above or beneath the land on its way to a common body of water such as a river, a lake or an ocean.
The area of land that drains into that common body of water is called a watershed.
And since every single person in the country lives on a watershed, it’s important to understand how watersheds function and how our actions affect the quality of the water we all share.
