Fiscal Year 2015-2016 was a banner year for economic development in Spartanburg County, and Spartanburg Water played a major role in that success. In fact, every dollar spent by the CPW equals another $12 in economic investment, and every dollar spent by the SSSD equals $23 in economic development investment.
This commitment to helping shepherd economic development is a result of partnerships, stakeholder engagement and innovation.
Spartanburg Water supports and participates in the initial, and confidential, discussions that result in a number of new businesses locating their operations and facilities in Spartanburg County. This is the work of many different groups, including the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Futures Group, Spartanburg County government, the City of Spartanburg and other forward-moving organizations, like the Upstate SC Alliance, an important economic development partner in the 10 counties that comprise the Upstate region.
